Browning Talks A&M Visit

Kennedale, Texas 2017 four-star outside linebacker Baron Browning was at Texas A&M over the weekend touring the facilities and ca up with the Aggie staff. According to Browning the visit was almost a 10.

"i was at A&M on Sunday," said Browning. "I met with Coach (Terry) Price first for about an hour. We were just joking back and forth and talking. Then we went through the locker room, tried on jerseys and took pictures and all of that. We then went out onto the field and saw the SEC productions. We saw all of the 12th Man Productions facility and watched a couple of their videos.

"Then I went to the weight room and spoke with the strength and conditioning coach. After that I met with Coach (John) Chavis for probably about an hour. Then I went and toured around campus with some of the players that were freshmen."

To the public Chief is often seen as a tough SEC coach that doesn't beat around the bush. Browning saw another side to the Aggies Defensive Coordinator.

"It was a pretty good conversation," said the 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect. "He is a funny guy; a cool guy. We had a funny conversation is the best way to put it. He told me how his system would help in my development. He looked at my arms and said, 'Man you got bigger since than last time I saw you.' We started laughing."

Browning was in Aggieland with his teammate Gjemar Daniels and Daniels' father.

"I haven't been anywhere else," said Browning. "Just A&M. I'm just seeing how everything goes.I'm going to trying get back to A&M."

A couple hours with the A&M staff and Browning said all of his questions were "pretty much answered." Overall Browning was impressed with the A&M visit. He gave the Aggies a high grade when ranking his time (from 1-to-10, with 10 meaning an awesome time) in College Station

"I would give it about an 8 1/2," he said. "(For a 10) I would need to bring my parents back down there for a visit."

At one point Browning was committed to Baylor. He opened his recruiting process up though and said, "I just wanted to weigh all my options my senior year...I'm not naming early favorites. I'm open right now."

At this time Browning hasn't scheduled another college visit. He will be competing at the Rivals Dallas Regional camp on March 19th and the Nike Opening Dallas regional camp on March 13th.
